Fish Creek is set to host its fourth Tea Cosy Festival, showcasing this small South Gippsland town as a vibrant and creative community.

The tea cosy is a metaphor for a strong, creative, connected community. It keeps everything warm, ready for when anyone should want another cup.

The 2018 festival theme is inTEAnational and will highlight the many cultures where the making and taking of tea are symbols of hospitality.

Leongatha Farmers Market @ Community College Gippsland

Leongatha Farmers market runs from 8.30am till 1.00pm in the grounds of Community College Gippsland  (located between Horn St and Howard St, Leongatha)

The market boasts a range of stalls including fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and flowers,  freshly baked breads and pastries, homemade jams and pickles, organic meats, free range eggs, freshly caught fish (when available ), local cheese, wine and olive oil . Also be prepared to stimulate your taste buds with our range of delicious hot foods, from paella to gourmet sausages, incredible Calamari,  and for those with a sweet tooth a great range of cakes and slices. We even have treats for your furry friends.

Don’t forget the Makers Market with lots of fantastic local crafts. Not to be missed for starting your Christmas shopping.

Live music adds to the atmosphere of the market and for children we also  have face painting available.

The market is held every fourth Saturday of the month. We hope you enjoy our next market.

Miniture Train Rides @ Newman Park Traralgon @ Newman Park traralgon

All Aboard!

Founded in 1978, the GMES operates the Newman Park Miniature Railway, located via Peterkin St, Traralgon for the enjoyment of the Latrobe Valley residents and visitors. The Railway has 200 metres of 3½” Gauge track, and 1,100 metres of parkland 5″ and 7¼” Gauge track crossing three small bridges. Connecting tracks, sidings & steaming bays add another 500 metres of track.

The miniature railway locomotives are typical of mainline and narrow gauge railways found in many parts of the world. Both steam and diesel outlines can be seen hauling public passenger trains.

San Remo Wednesday Bowls @ San Remo Bowls Club

Every Wednesday the San Remo Bowls Club puts on a Social Bowls afternoon to be enjoyed by all. They will be doing it again this Wednesday so come along for a great afternoon of food and bowls ($1 for a sausage and $5 for the game)… Be there at 12 noon for the BBQ and 1 pm for the bowls. They have Social Bowls every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon during the winter, weather permitting, from 1 pm. The bar will be opened on these days as well as Happy Hour on Friday commencing 5 pm.
