Warragul CFA Open Day @ Warragul Fire Station
Nov 18 @ 10:30 am – 3:00 pm

Come and meet our Fire Fighters and see what they do on a day to day basis. Take a look at the latest and greatest in firefighting technologies. Also see the other agencies that work with us to protect our community. There will be brigades from neighbouring towns to talk to about volunteering and fire safety in your area.

Brigade members will also be on hand on the day with a range of fire safety information and advice, as well as A FREE sausage sizzles, FREE barista coffee from RRT , fun activities including demonstrations by senior and junior brigade members, specialist vehicles from other services and drone displays.

Warragul Fire Brigade Captain Dalrymple said CFA Open Days were the perfect opportunity for brigades to show the community what they do to keep everyone safe and to deliver valuable fire safety messages.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our local community to meet the men and women who work hard to keep them safe from fire and help out in times of emergency, he said.

“Anyone interested in joining CFA, whether as a firefighter or in a support role are also welcome to come along for a look and a chat.”

CFA Chief Officer Steve Warrington said the open days were a great opportunity for people to find out how to best protect themselves, their family and property from fire this summer.

“A strong relationship between the community and emergency services is a crucial component in boosting community safety and greatly assists our members in their critical role of the protection of life and property.”

Now is the time to prepare your family and home in the lead up to summer and we’re here to help – members will be on hand to provide a range of fire safety information.”

Activities for children will include pavement drawing competition, face painting, smoke house and captain Koala.

The CFA Open Day program commenced in 2011 and has seen brigades throughout the state open their stations to their local communities.

The day is an opportunity for all Victorians to learn more about what brigades do for the local community in a relaxed and fun environment.

The Warragul Brigade Open Day will be held on 18th November 2017 at the Warragul Fire Station 8 Gladstone Street between 10.30 and 3.00

Baw Baw networking breakfast with mindworker Lisa Smith @ Warragul Reception & Conference Centre
Nov 23 @ 7:00 am – 9:00 am

Think differently about innovation

Creativity is something you’re born with, it’s hard-wired into your neo-cortex. But over the years you’ve learned not to use it, to keep it hidden and out of sight. Now the marketplace is screaming for innovation and invention and you’re probably trying to remember where you left your imagination.

Good news! Mindworker Lisa Smith will show you where it is, how to find it and how to get it working again at the next Baw Baw Business & Community Network Events breakfast to be held at the Warragul Reception & Conference Centre on Thursday, 23 November 2017, supported by Federation Training, Telstra and Warragul Linen Service.

All welcome.

$35 per person includes a hot plated breakfast and keynote presentation with Q&A.

Registrations close 16 November. Pre-event registration and payment is essential.
