Drouin Rotary Club hold a produce and craft market at Civic Park on the third Saturday of each month.

8am until 12-30pm.

A vast variety of stalls something for every one .The Rotary Club will have the barby fired up with snags and egg and bacon sandwiches and also serving hot coffee.

Prom Country Farmers Market @ Foster Community Hall

Check out the wonderful farmers market in the grounds of the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre, or inside on inclement days.

Food Bank Recovery Ride

Foodbank Victoria is committed to assisting with the long-term recovery of the 2020 Bushfires. The Recovery Ride aims to bring families from far and wide to discover all that East Gippsland has to offer. This is your chance to enjoy a fun ride along the East Gippsland Rail Trail and finish off your day in the event village showcasing local entertainment and local produce.

The event will provide three cycling route options:
Ride 1: 10km (Bruthen to Mossiface return) – perfect for little kids or the novice cyclist.
Ride 2: 42km route (Bruthen to Nicholson return)
Ride 3: 54km route (Bruthen to Nowa Nowa return)

Rides kick off from 10:00 am
WHERE: Main Street, Bruthen (26km East of Bairnsdale)
COST: $10 per person – Children under 6 years free of charge

 

Warragul Farmers Market @ Civic Park

The Warragul Farmers Market is held every Third Saturday of the month from 8.30am to 1pm at Civic Park, Warragul.

Bring your friends, bring your family and help support this amazing local community of growers and producers.

Come for breakfast and enjoy a fresh coffee and mouth watering bacon and egg roll.

Along with Local and organic produce, free range eggs and meat, flowers and herbs, baked goods and preserves, cheese and dairy goods, fresh coffee, fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan breads and so much more!!

Bike & Tattoo Show @ Vietnam Veterans MC Club House

Keenages Table Tennis @ Newborough Leisure Centre

The Moe / Newborough Keenagers Table Tennis group meet every Monday & Thursday from 9:30am to 11.30am at the Latrobe Leisure Centre. You must be over 55 to attend and the cost is only $4. This covers the court hire and you can also receive a Coffee or Tea afterwards.

Moe / Newborough Keenagers Table Tennis Club was established in 2006 as a non-profit organisation with the purpose of providing participation, recreation and a social outlet for older residents and retirees in the Moe / Newborough area who would like a game of table tennis.

Currently the Club has 96 members (in pre-covid times we had over 120 members the most of any club in country Victoria).

The Club promotes a relaxed, social and friendly atmosphere which attracts people to play table tennis, from not just Moe, but many of the neighbouring municipalities.

Details of Keenagers table tennis are:

  • Club plays at the Latrobe Leisure Centre, Old Sale Road, Newborough.
  • Sessions are held Monday and Thursday from 9.30am to 11.30am
  • Session fees are $4.00, with an annual Insurance fee of $10.00. New Members, after the first three sessions who wish to join the Club, then must pay the $10.00.
  • Table tennis is social stress-free recreation with no pennant competition structure and the opportunity to interact with like-minded people.
  • Playing table tennis also provides a healthy lifestyle through coordination, balance, flexibility and the ability to exercise the mind.

Smart Recovery – Meetings now online

SMART Recovery is a global self-help, mutual aid program that offers a place for people to get together to try to change addictive behaviours that are harmful to themselves and others.Addictive behaviours can include problematic drinking, substance use, gambling, over-eating, shopping and others.

every meeting is run by trained facilitators who will help identify goals and set an achievable plan, focusing on the present and not the past.

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings are now being held online.
