Lake Glenmaggie Speed Boat Race Meeting

The Glenmaggie and District Boat Club located at 1 Licola Road Glenmaggie will be hosting another exciting speed boat race meeting on Sunday the 3th of November 2013.

Glenmaggie & District Boat Club is a not for profit organisation who has been hosting these events on LakeGlenmaggie for over 58 years in a family friendly picnic environment. Come along for the Fun!

Racing will commence at 10 am with over 20 races over the day. All Welcome!

The Gates open at 8.30am – adults are $10 per person and children under 14yrs are free.

Speed Boat Race Meet @ Glenmaggie District Boat Club

Sunday 29th December 2013 the Glenmaggie and District Boat Club located at Licola Road Glenmaggie, 10 minutes from Heyfield will host another exciting speed boat race meeting. This event is proudly supported by the Wellington Shire Council.  Sunday 10am to 5pm a full day of racing with over 25 – 30 races.

Entrance Fee – $15 per head for the Sunday Spectacular. Children under the age of 14 are free.

The running of the prestigious Glenmaggie Cup sponsored by the Heyfield & District Community Bendigo Bank will have several heats of the grand prix hydroplane boats thundering through their paces with an almighty final at 4pm.

Other spectaculars on Sunday will be both the Darryl Hamilton and Alan Hore Memorial Trophies and a full day of other support racing.

The gates open at 8.30am with full catering for the entire day. All are welcome to come along and enjoy the thrills.

2 hours of hilarity and practical tips for parents, grandparents or anyone else who works with children.
Steve’s live talks have had a remarkable public response. Hilarious, fun, practical, and moving are some of the words used by over 130,000 people over almost 30 years.

Steve Biddulph is one of the world’s best known parent educators. A psychologist for 25 years, he is now retired but continues to write and teach. His books, including The Secret of Happy Children, Raising Boys, The New Manhood and now RAISING GIRLS are in four million homes and 31 languages. They have influenced the way we look at childhood and especially the development of boys and men. Today though, the exploitation and misuse of girls and young women globally are a major focus.

This event is proudly brought to you as part of a tour organised by the Gippsland Presbytery of the Uniting Church in Australia.

Ronald McDonald House Fund Raiser @ Sale Memorial Hall

Gippy Rocks is a three day rock and roll, retro festival taking place in Sale from Friday 16 October til Sunday 18 October to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Monash.

With five top dance bands, three days of dancing, workshops and competition, plus a retro market and show n shine, Gippy Rocks is set to attract enthusiasts to the Sale Memorial Hall from all across Victoria.

The festival opens on Friday 16 October with an interclub dance incorporating the rock and roll dance clubs of Gippsland, including ‘Gatha Rock, Hooked on Rock, Latrobe Rockers, Lakeside Rockers and S’coolhouse Rock and Swing.

On the morning of Saturday 17 October there will be a series of workshops, while Saturday night sees another dance, Rock til You Drop.

Sunday, 18 October is the biggest day of the festival with the retro market and show n shine in Sale’s Macalister St from 10am, as well as non-stop dancing in the Sale Memorial Hall. The weekend wraps up with the Victorian Regional Country Dance Championships from 1.30pm.
