The Warragul Community Men’s Shed are on the lookout for new members at its workshop and meeting place at 182 Normanby St.
Formerly the Yarragon Men’s Shed, the local chapter has been in existence since 2016.
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
As well as providing a place for people to catch up and support each another, the sheds perform community work via various activities such as woodwork, metal work or other “handy” operations.
The WCMS meet every Wednesday for a chat and a barbecue and get to work on a variety of community projects. Currently the group has 15 members. Wednesday is their main day but when larger projects are on they are able to meet on weekends to work on their projects for the community.
The Warragul club’s current focus is on woodwork projects.
The group also holds a number of sausage sizzles at Bunnings throughout the year to raise money for various charities, with a major one at Easter for the Good Friday Appeal.
Anyone interested in attending a meeting or learning more about the Warragul Community Men’s Shed can call on 0451 605 579 or email warragulcms@yahoo.com

“If you can walk – you can Tango”
Argentine Tango is a fantastic gentle exercise suitable for all ages & beneficial for most medical conditions.
Tango is for balance and control of centre of gravity, aka axis, using our core muscles giving much needed stability in all areas of life. Tied with this is the added brain boost we get learning a new skill, having the body learn new ways of movement and the muscle memory it requires.
We’ve had students with Parkinson’s, Cerebral Palsy and even a 78-year-old blind man! Don’t use medical conditions as a reason not to, but a reason to Tango!
Terrific for mental health to be part of a fun all-inclusive group of lovely people. Family friendly.
No Partner needed.
Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet! Don’t sit at home alone, visit with friends at Gippsland Tango.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
The Red Cross Opportunity Shop Warragul are looking for Volunteers. If you have a few hours to spare, come and join a lovely group of ladies. Drop in to the store at 3 Victoria St or Call Maragret on 0410 050 703 to discuss any questions.
The Moe / Newborough Keenagers Table Tennis group meet every Monday & Thursday from 9:30am to 11.30am at the Latrobe Leisure Centre and the cost is only $4. This covers the court hire and you can also receive a Coffee or Tea afterwards.
Moe / Newborough Keenagers Table Tennis Club was established in 2006 as a non-profit organisation with the purpose of providing participation, recreation and a social outlet for older residents and retirees in the Moe / Newborough area who would like a game of table tennis.
Morning tea is provided and most players have a break at about 10.30am. Our sessions are still $4.00 but the membership fee is $30.00 per annum (actually $50.00 per member but the club subsidies $20.00 because our insurance is now with Table Tennis Victoria)
Anyone over the age of 18 can now join the club although most of our members are retired.
The Club promotes a relaxed, social and friendly atmosphere which attracts people to play table tennis, from not just Moe, but many of the neighbouring municipalities.
Details of Keenagers table tennis are:
- Club plays at the Latrobe Leisure Centre, Old Sale Road, Newborough.
- Sessions are held Monday and Thursday from 9.30am to 11.30am
- Session fees are $4.00, with a membership fee is $30.00 per annum
- Table tennis is social stress-free recreation with no pennant competition structure and the opportunity to interact with like-minded people.
- Playing table tennis also provides a healthy lifestyle through coordination, balance, flexibility and the ability to exercise the mind.
