You’re invited to Wellington Shire Council’s biggest-ever volunteer networking and thank you events!

To celebrate National Volunteer Week 2023, Wellington Shire Councillors are looking forward to showing appreciation to local volunteers at events to be held in Yarram, Maffra and Sale.

Everyone is invited to attend, and the event will include a free BBQ lunch, thank you to volunteers, presented by Wellington Shire Council Mayor Ian Bye, and prominent local volunteers will speak about the success and challenges experienced throughout their volunteering life.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about the many benefits of volunteering, get advice and help to get started, and contribute to Council’s volunteering database. The database will keep potential volunteers connected to opportunities that suit their interests, skills, experience and availability.

National Volunteer Week thank you events:

Yarram – Monday 15 May, 11.30am-1.30pm at the Yarram Regent Theatre
Maffra – Wednesday 17 May, 11.30am-1.30pm at the Maffra Recreation Reserve
Sale – Friday 19 May, 11.30am-1.30pm at Stephenson Park Recreation Reserve
